“Summer is that the busiest time of year for our trauma center,” says Dr rajesh subramanya, MD, Director Services. “The excellent news is that the overwhelming majority of those injures are preventable.”

Water safety

Designate an adult to be a “water watcher” with children swimming during a pool or lake.
Burns
Don’t assume a fireplace pit is cool – even the morning after a campfire. Seemingly cool logs can cause third-degree burns and ignite flammables like gasoline.
